Couple of comments. 1) DreamHost's terms of service used to prohibit offsite backups, but now they allow 50GB for offsite backup, not the full 500GB. They can charge you for exceeding that amount.</p><p>2) I got the impression from other internet sources that rsync to DreamHost did not support the -e option, which means that files that use the Mac resource fork aren't backed up properly.
