I find DabbleDB quite intuitive to use. Something that needs to be mentioned is that having a database that begins its life hosted and that integrates so well with the web is really important. Too much effort is spent moving databases like Access out to the web, when there is no reason not to have database development hosted a la DabbleDB. Different strokes or different folks, but I think DabbleDB is great and an excellent way to both create databases and host data for flexible distribution.

I have had the opposite experience. I've been on the same page (invited by the same friend :-)). I've seen their demo movie a couple of months ago (and I found it brilliant and very promising), and although I think I have some technical knowledge on DB, I felt absolutely lost. I've clicked around, but could not grasp the interface. Too bad.

I fully agree.
