Embedded Systems Engineer
Hardware · Intern · chennai, india
we make digital products better, simpler & more human. small, flat team. no layers, no hand-offs. you own what you ship.
you’ll write the firmware that makes our hardware ideas actually run.
about the role
we’re looking for an embedded intern to work on firmware for connected product prototypes.
you’ll go from datasheet to working device, & see your code do something real on the bench.
what you’ll do
- Firmware: write & debug C/C++ for microcontrollers like ESP32 & STM32
- Peripherals: integrate sensors, displays, & wireless modules
- Bring-up: test boards, trace faults, & document what you find
- Connectivity: connect devices to apps over BLE, Wi-Fi, or MQTT
- Collaboration: work with hardware & app teams to ship prototypes
what you bring
- Strong fundamentals: C or C++, microcontroller basics, & I2C, SPI, UART, & GPIO
- Hands-on projects: a device you built & got working (Arduino, ESP32, STM32, or similar), with photos or a repo
- Problem-solving: you debug with a multimeter, scope, or serial logs instead of guessing
- AI in your workflow: you use it for datasheet summaries & debugging ideas, then verify against the datasheet & the hardware
- Independent thinking: you read the datasheet before asking, & ask clear questions when you’re stuck
- Proof over paper: no degree or certificates needed. we care about what you’ve built & how you think
nice to have
- Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr
- Low-power design or battery-powered projects
- Basic PCB design knowledge
